DIDN'T ORDER A YEARBOOK IN TIME? YOU HAVE ONE MORE CHANCE!!! 

 Order Your 2017-18 Yearbook NOW! No Orders Will Be Taken After 11:59 pm PST Monday, June 25, 2018.
 
Parents - we have received a large number of requests for yearbooks from people who missed the earlier deadlines. To try to accommodate these late requests, we will order another run of yearbooks. The cost for these books will be higher, as they charge us a fee for another print run. Also, the PTA will not be managing distributing of these late books, so buyers will need to cover the cost of shipping and handling. The price of the yearbook for this second run, including shipping and handling is $25.00 USD. All deliveries must go to a local address. 
 
If you want to order a 2017-18 yearbook at this time, you may do so here no later than 11:59pm Monday, June 25. That is next Monday, so please act quickly -- we will not be placing another order after that time.

Please remember the yearbook is run by PTA volunteers, and we are doing our best to create a book that you and your kids will love, and a process that enables you to get the books as efficiently as possible. The PTA does not try to profit off of yearbook sales. We welcome any volunteers who would like to help run the yearbook process next year :)

FAQ
Q: I missed the order deadline. Can I still order a 2017-18 Sunset Yearbook?

 A: Why, yes you can! :) Please go to [link] to place your order no later than 11:59pm Monday, June 25

 Q: I thought I ordered a yearbook, but my child didn't bring one home. How can I check if I ordered one?

 A: You can check your PTA account at any time on http://sunsetsockeyepta.org . Click on My Account on the left side of the screen. If you are not signed into the site, you'll need to do that now. On the My Account screen, you should see a section labeled Orders. This would include all your orders for this school year (eg: your annual PTA Membership renewal; Yearbook 2017-18; event tickets purchased online)

 Q: What is the price of the yearbook?

 A: Due to the additional costs of ordering a new batch of yearbooks, the price of a book has increased. Our Yearbook vendor will ship the book directly to you. The new price of EACH book, including shipping and handling, is $25. The price per book is the same if you order multiple books to be sent to one address.

 Q: If I order a yearbook now, how and when will I get it?

 A: Yearbooks ordered now will be shipped to the local address you provide with your order (most likely your home). The cost of shipping and handling is included in the $25 per book price. After the ordering site closes the night of Monday, June 25, we will submit the orders to Dorian. They will print the books and we expect they will be able to begin shipping by the end of July.
 
Q: Why didn't you order extra books for people who might miss the deadline?
A: This year, about 85 people tried to order books at the end of the year. We actually did order about 50 extra books, but that didn't cover all the requests. There is no way for us to estimate how many people will miss the earlier deadlines, as it changes every year, and the PTA has to pay for any extra books that don't sell. In previous years, we ordered about 30 extra books, and were often left with extras at the end of the year. 
 
Q: I don't remember seeing anything about the purchasing deadline. Where did you put that information?
A: We tried to get the word out about the purchasing deadline through multiple sources - the PTA weekly eSplash email, the PTA Facebook page, and the PTA website were some of those ways. In many cases, the class room parent also sent reminder emails to parents.
 
Q: I want to avoid this issue (and extra expense) next year. What's the best way to do that?
A: Yearbook sales begin near the beginning of the school year. Please order early! The deadline is set by the vendor, so we don't know yet what it will be next year. The best way to stay on top of key dates is by subscribing to the Sunset PTA weekly eSplash. The Sunset PTA Facebook page is also a great way to stay on top of upcoming events and deadlines.
 
Q: How do I sign up for the PTA eSplash?
A:  Please go to the Sunset PTA website at http://sunsetsockeyepta.org . Click on My Account on the left side of the screen. If you are not signed into the site, you'll need to do that now. On the My Account screen, you should see a section labeled Parents. Click on Edit to  right of your name and address information. There is a section at the bottom titled Email Preferences. Be sure the checkbox for eSplash is checked. This will put you on the list for weekly eSplash email newsletters.
 
Q: I still have questions! :)

Q: I'd love to help with the PTA next year - what should I do?
A: Yay! Thank you! The PTA is 100% dependent on parent volunteers. Volunteers run things like the Yearbook, the school art program, Science to Go, Eager Reader, Spooky Spaghetti and other fun and educational activities and events. When you register your child for school next year, you'll also have an opportunity to renew your annual PTA membership, and express interest in any of a number of PTA positions.
