Science Fair

2017 Sunset Elementary Science Fair!!!

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

DATE:  Wednesday, April 5th from 6:00 to 7:30 pm (All grades)

PROJECTS:     There are no specific theme requirements - you can enter a project on any science-related topic that interests you. Students can do a project individually, with a partner, or in a group. All projects should be brought to students’ classrooms before school the morning of the fair and be taken home at the conclusion of the fair each night.

AWARDS: All participating students are eligible for a door prize raffle ticket, which will be awarded during the event. Projects are not judged, but each participant receives a special scientist certificate and a ribbon. Classes with 100% participation will receive a special award.

FOOD:  If you miss dinner or get hungry during the fair – no problem.  There will be pizza and drinks for sale.  All proceeds will help support the Science Fair and other PTA activities.

Holiday Gift Barn

Reflections

56 Sunset students that participated in the 2016-2017 Reflections Program! With over 70 amazing entries this year - wow! Twelve projects move on to districts judging and the district reception in January. A HUGE thank you to Charlene Gaston Kari Grutzner for organizing this fabulous PTA program that showcases the creative talents of our students!

Spooky Spaghetti

What a successful Spooky Spaghetti and food bank collection event this year.  We broke a record with roughly 1050 meals served and around 100 dads’ volunteers.  A HUGE thank you goes out to Carrie Paget, Michele Steinthal and Jason Houck for leading this effort – We appreciate all your time, energy and creativity to make this the most anticipated event of the school year.   In addition, we wanted to acknowledge and thank the rest of those who provided a donation, helped setup, entertain and served food.

Book Fair

Back to School Night
